Sweetwaters Hosts a Revolution!
Join us at Sweetwaters Downtown on Wednesday, May 27th, from 8-11pm for a classical chamber music jam session. Sweetwaters will be hosting the Ann Arbor chapter of Classical Revolution. Founded in San Fransisco, musicians specialize in melding the old with the new and take chamber music out of the recital hall making it more accessible to a broader audience. Classical Revolution chapters have sprung up in Portland, Chicago, Philadelphia, New York, and now Ann Arbor.
Most of the musicians in Classical Revolution are recent graduates or current students from the nation’s best conservatories while others are accomplished non-professional musicians who use Classical Revolution as an outlet to maintain their musical life while working non-musical jobs. This inter-relation between professional and non-professional musicians dissolves boundaries and brings people, both audience and performers, together. Come join the Revolution!
Classical Revolution will also be performing at the Plymouth Green location on Tues, June 2nd, from 7-10pm.
