Ann Arbor Downtown Blooms – Get cool gifts including a free drink from Sweetwaters!*

Place: Liberty Plaza, on Liberty St. at South Division

Date: Saturday, May 15, 2010

Time: 9am-10am

Volunteers will plant flowers, mulch planters, and help spruce up the downtown areas along State, Main, South University, and Liberty Streets. Interested individuals, families, youth groups, and other organizations are welcome to drop in on this event. Midnight Blend Cherry Almond Cake Recipe & Submit Your Own Recipe!

For inspiration, here’s one we’ve tried:slice+bag

Midnight Blend Cherry Almond Cake

1 cup of sour cream
1 package of french vanilla cake mix (Betty Crocker or your favorite)
3 eggs
1 cup Sweetwaters Midnight Blend brewed coffee (brewed strong)
1 can cherry pie filling
½ cup of almond slices

Powdered Sugar Glaze

1/3 cup butter
2 cups powdered sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
2-4 tablespoons water
